Built by The Lion Project

A nonprofit serving hundreds of families through mobile food markets, community outreach, and real-world impact.

Lived need

We’ve sat at the table trying to figure out how to fund food for families.

Real work

We’ve spent hours digging through grants that didn’t fit.

Built from it

We built this because real needs should not wait on wasted search time.

Real Impact, Real Results

A Denver nonprofit secured $25,000 for food access in 6 weeks

Cut grant research from 15+ hours to under 2 hours per week

Identified 12 qualified grants in the first 30 days

Sound familiar?

You spend more time chasing funding than doing the work

You find grants you qualify for... after the deadline passed

You start applications but never finish them

You know there’s money out there — you just can’t find it

You know funding is out there… you just don’t have time to chase it

Grant Engine was built to fix exactly this.

We spent 15 hours a week on grant research alone. Now it takes us 2. I wish we had this years ago.

Maria S.

Executive Director, Food Access Nonprofit (Denver)

We were skeptical about AI helping with grants. Then we got matched with a $50K opportunity we never would have found.

James L.

Program Director, Youth Nonprofit (Denver)

Finally something built by people who actually understand what small nonprofits deal with.

Done-for-you service

Grant Office

For nonprofits that want us to help write, review, and submit applications with monthly strategy and a managed grant pipeline. Includes up to 2 submitted applications/month; additional submissions are scoped separately.

AI-generated drafts are starting points. Your organization is responsible for reviewing, editing, approving, and submitting all grant materials unless you are on a separate Grant Office agreement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a 501(c)(3)?

Most grants in our database require 501(c)(3) status, but we also include opportunities for fiscally sponsored organizations and other nonprofit structures. Our eligibility check will clarify what you qualify for.

How does the AI find grants?

Grant Engine combines rule-based matching, local AI-assisted summaries, and capped premium AI drafting depending on your plan. Starter gives you a free snapshot and weekly matched-grant emails; paid plans add deeper AI help when you are ready to write.

What if I don’t have a grant writer on staff?

Starter helps you find relevant grants for free. Growth and Partner can generate first-draft application materials, but your organization reviews, edits, approves, and submits them. If you want human review and submission support, ask about Grant Office.

Do you review and submit grants for us?

Not on Starter, Growth, or Partner. Those are software plans. Grant Office is the separate done-for-you service for human-reviewed drafts, submission support, and monthly strategy.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. All plans are month-to-month with no contracts. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your account settings whenever you need to.

How is this different from other grant databases?

Most databases give you a search bar and wish you luck. We actively match you with grants that fit your specific organization for free, then offer paid writing support when you want help applying. And we’re built by a nonprofit that actually uses this system.

Find out where your nonprofit should look for funding first.

The free snapshot and Starter emails give you a practical funding lane before you buy anything.
